RE: Silicon Valley former name and fame??? Andy Burr! 

When I was a kid (and that is 60-65 years ago) Sunnyvale (if that is a center of Silicon Valley?) was best known as the place the hanger was for the American Dirgibles on the West Coast. (New Jersey was an East coast port for them..ala the Hindenburg disaster>). San Mateo was remembered by me as where we got our wire haired fox terrier Pal's Pride of Beresford, who was called Pal and liked 19 years in Reno NV my home town. I have no stereos of the area, but do of Pal! BobH
