VM Viewers for full-frame 2x2 slides?

Excuse my skepticism, but I don't see how lenses that were selected to
cover the VM 12 mm x 12 mm image size will work well for 24 mm x 36 mm
full-frame slides, when much larger lenses used in Realist format viewers
will not do it.
Perhaps our definition of "works well" is the problem here?
