My VM story...part four

My VM story continued...
Part four: "My second brush with hell"
Each mounted image was numbered and placed into individual
envelopes which contained DETAILED descriptions of where exactly to crop
the image to fit the VM proportions, and the whole deal was sent off
(still, everything had to go through TYCO Canada first). I phoned to make
sure that they'd arrived in Oregon and was pleased to hear everything was
running smoothly. Seanita said it would be approximately four weeks before
I receive the 'test reel', which is sent to every client to make sure the
cropping is correct and the color and text is accurate.
(four and a half weeks later) I phone Seanita to see how things are
going and when I should expect my test reel. She says "You mean you
haven't seen it yet? But it was OK'd by TYCO Canada...the reel is already
in production!" At this point (on a Friday afternoon at 4:00...TYCO Canada
is closed) I'm almost having a literal heart attack! Seanita tries to calm
me down and says that if I find anything wrong with the final product that
TYCO Canada will have to swallow the cost of doing it over. I still feel
sick.
I had the weekend to worry and sweat. I'd worked too hard to have
something go wrong now. Besides...there was not enough time to re-make the
reel in time for the exhibit (and the Rochester con!).
Next...the final chapter
:-)jamie.
