Dr. T hit it on the head by describing the availability of the used gear
which was a system, that later designs might not have been.
My Question Is? What happened to the format 22.5x24mm that ASA dubbed
the American Standard (in contrast to the European standard 24x30mm).
It is true the Realist laid the groundwork, but when the others came
along it used to be called the American format! Is this forgotten?
