I'd sure like to know. We've got V-M experts on the list
who can probably tell us. Seems like most everyone had a
V-M as a child so now all Tyco has to do is market a
V-M-Adult version of the viewer and some V-M-Adult reels
and they would have it made. I would suggest a quality
viewer with high-magnification lenses to bring out what
V-M can do. And don't sell them in toy stores to start
with even though I'm sure they could do that easily. There
has to be a real break with the toy version to make it happen.
Of course V-M is limited somewhat by its small format and
the resolution of current color transparency film. Maybe
they should try to find a really high-resolution low-grain
film to do their reels with. In fact Realist format is a
little limited by film. You have to go clear up to medium
format stereo to get away from film limitations. However,
I think V-M could do better if they worked with a major film
company.
