Greg- I've made two viewers using those loupes- I found them for about $30
each, which still hurt, but the quality is very good, and the image is
large, and oooh, sharp. :-)
This brings to mind a couple of things, one relating to the VM
discussion. Having had no experience with any viewers other than the
Pinsharps from Reel 3D and my homemade ones, I have no idea how large the
apparent image is with other viewers/formats. The pinsharps are not
fabulous lenses, but are pretty good for the price, and the image is almost
as large as with the Peak loupes. What size image do other viewers yield?
Other formats?
I am also not sure whether the VM viewers all produce the same size
image, but in looking at the cheapies at ToysR, I can see why VM doesn't
exactly take everyone by storm. Tiny images, misaligned, well, I wouldn't
buy it. Do they make a better version viewer than the run-of-the-mill one
at the toy store?
