Re: Stereo Weddings

A couple of years ago, I took my VM personal to a friend's wedding
reception in a grand old S.F. Victorian built originally by the Levi Strauss
clan. A pro had been engaged for the occasion. He was interested in what I
was doing and didn't seem to mind that my flash set off all of his
slaves--vastly improving my own pictures.
A couple of weeks after the wedding, I delivered two reels and a viewer to
the newlyweds. (The pro took months and several reminders to deliver the
album.) Whenever I see my friends now they remark on how much more they
enjoy my rather casually made reels over the pro's work.
VM seems to me a really good gift format. People are familiar with it and
the reactions of people who, looking into the VM, expect to see Kermit and
Big Bird, and instead see themselves and their friends in 3D, are always a hoot.
