"Beam-splitters" reference

Greetings,

In the March 1978 issue of "Reel 3D News" on page 5, David Starkman
has an article ("Collector's Corner") about Mirror attachments.

First Words of the several page article are:

"Beam-splitters, more correctly termed Stereo Reflectors..."

	The diagram ("Fig . 1) is labelled : "A Beam-splitter attachment...."

Conclusion:

It seems that the term "beam splitter" is one that's been a popularly used misnomer
for quite a long time (at least ~20 years) and that it's really a "Stereo reflector".

Mike K.

P.S. - And it was "invented" in 1853. :-)
