Now what's this business with the old-timers???  It started as a joke and
has evolved to an international problem by now....(thanks to Greg Wageman BTW)

Let me clarify:  I AM NOT AN OLD-TIMER!!!!  I have only been to this list
for two years now and to 3D photography for only 7 years.

Even the founding fathers of this list (John B. et al.) are not old-timers.
The list is a fresh as fresh can be.  BoBH is an old-timer ;) and we all
love to hear his wisdom.

I was a bit surprised to see how many things I've said in the past
(opinions, not facts BTW) and how often the same subjects come up.  
I am seriously considering publishing my photo-3d "quotes" or at least
organizing them so that I can pull that old quote when the same subject
comes up again.

For those new members, here is a list of MY favorite subjects/opinions:

- Slide mounting is easy and fun...
- All forms of 3-D are not created equal...
- Too much attention is given to correct exposure and light meters
- The Stereo Realist is a great camera!
- Getting started with a classic stereo camera is easy and inexpensive
- Slide competitions can be fun!
- Share your work, don't keep it locked...
- Projector fiddling is not a good idea...
- Viewing is the weak link in 3-D
- Viewers are neglected, cameras are worshiped...
- 3D is not an illusion, it's as close to reality as it gets
- I don't care how many 3D pictures you keep as long as you show the best
- A new 3-D revolution?  Sure, why not?
- 3D is alive and well!

The list is getting long, I'd better stop here...  Just remeber, call me
"old-timer" after 20 years, not now!  And, don't worry, I have no plans to
