Re: Next Question

I agree... 3D is a unique medium where the viewing conditions are
very important. Even when you use a viewer then you have a competition
of stereo slides in a viewer... "Hey, that's life..."

No way! Sorry Allan but I'll have to shoot this analogy down! ;)
Pop vs. classic is a different subject/content. It's like asking me to
shoot only 3D of flowers (popular subject in 3D but overused IMO
-- still collects many awards...).
I have tried hard to think of a sound analogy... It turns out that even
though stereoscopy and stereophony have so many things in common, one
thing where they differ (and here is the core of the argument) is that
in stereoscopy the viewing device is of more fundamental importance.
I am not into stereophonics but the closest analogy I can think of is
if you are asked to perform your piece is a stereophonic studio vs
in an ordinary room where the acoustics are very different. Then it
could make a difference on how different pieces sound and how they
compare to each other... but I doubt that the difference will be as
important as in the case of stereo vision.
Allan, I see your point... and I accept it. I see projection as a
challenge. I take both good pictures for a viewer and good pictures
for projection. Exposure is just one factor. Subject matter is
another... I like to be challenged. I know the rules (projection)
and I do my best to do well. On the other hand, I belong to several
postal circuits that work with viewers. My biggest fear there is
that OTHER MEMBERS DON'T USE A DR. T. MODIFIED VIEWER!!!! (I am not
kidding!... when I enter a 7-p brilliant slide, who knows what other
people see in their dim 5-p viewers!)
Final comment: Some slides are good both in projection and a viewer!

PS. I left the commercial segment for the end... ;)

Nope. I totally agree!!! That's what I am using too!!! ;)
>I have three Themelized viewers at home and two more in process (BTW,
>Dr. T, how are they coming along?:-))
Others are asking the same question... ;) I am telling them that
Allan has me busy with not two, not three but five viewers right now
(not only Red buttons)... Thanks Allan for being patient and not
bugging me! Your patience is appreciated... Thanks also for your
feedback on this discussion which I find very interesting!
