ViewMaster Personal Filters

Can anyone tell me what the specification is for filters for the 
Viewmaster Personal (not the Mark II)? I measured the outside of the
ring on the camera and it came out to 35mm. None of the local camera
stores has any filters at this size. Is it a Series I or some such?

What I really need is a step up ring that is from whatever (35mm, series
I?) to 49mm, a fairly common filter size. The camera's lenses seem to
be ~60mm on center so anything smaller than this would be ok. I need
at least 40mm though.
