Moody 3D pictures
Allan Carran asks:
>Don't you think such "moody"
>pictures belong more often in the world of the 'one eye's?'
More often, perhaps, but I would like to dispell the notion that
the only 3D pictures worth capturing are the crisp contrasty ones.
That's what some people believe... I know because I was one of
them... There are many fine soft 2D images. Most of them would
work in 3D too. I am now exploring this area for a couple of
Detroit assignments... and cannot give more details now but I'll
post after the assignment is over...
Going back to the projector vs. viewer dicussion, it is true that
some of these soft images work better in projection than the
viewer while many crispy contrasty images are a total disaster
in projection.
