anaglyph projection

For what its worth I'm having a very entertaining time preparing black and
white images to be projected as anaglyphs. I'm preparing them for a theater
piece I'm doing (much of what I've been able to do has been the result of advice
from people on this list). Its a very sturdy format. I can manipulate the B&W
prints in my darkroom and again as I convert them to digital images on my
computer. Then I pay about six bucks each (!) to have them converted to slides
by a company here in NYC. They can be viewed from any angle and are brighter
than printed anaglyphs, scanned antique stereo pairs look great in this format.
I realize they still dont have they same complex depth relationsips as polarized
images but any kind of cheap projector and screen combination will work. I
havent tried multichrome images- I suspect, in general, they dont work too well
, if the ones I have downloaded are any example. Still, its a very manipulable
experimental form.
