I vaguely recall reading an article, I think, in "Scientifc American"
on this - there was a picture of a college student walking down a 
hallway with the prism glasses on. When I'm on campus, I have access
to the "for pay" bibliographic databases provided by our library
system. If no one else turns up a citation before then, I'll see what
I can find (I can't access it from off campus, which I am now).
