Re: 3D Deja-vu (H.C. McKay)

Back to Sam's posting, the following is a short biography of H.C.
McKay found in the dust jacket of "3-Dimensional Photography":

======================================================================
Herbert C. McKay, FRPS, ASC, ranks among the leaders of present-day
photography. Teacher, author, columnist, technical expert, he brings
to his chosen field a penetrating and analytical mind and a scientific
approach. He is recognized as one of the really great technicians
in the photographic field.

As a columnist (American Photography, U.S. Camera) McKay has written
the longest-appearing photographic column in the country. He was one
of the first to introduce the miniature camera into the United States.
As one of the organizers of The Stereo Guild, he continues to provide
leadership and expert guidance to that orgization. He was the first
person in this country to conduct a radio program on photography.
=====================================================================

Perhaps we need a McKay today? Someone with a long photographic
experience and access to popular photographic press to write about
stereo photography?

Question for BobH: What was "The Stereo Guild"?
