RE: Mike K. remembers 1935 or 36 for Kodachrome (the first tripack color
film to reach market followed by Agfacolor) It was introduced in 1935 as
16mm movie film to replace the weird Kodacolor with the tricolor filter,
and for Retina, Leica, and Contax in 1936! This was also the FIRST time
you could get film ready to load in your 35mm camera with the Kodak
Cassette. (In Germany they had paper leadered inserts for the camera
makers cassette, normally bulk loaded.) People don't know that all the
b&w photography prior to 1936 required the user to find bulk 35mm film
and load his camera makers cartridge. BobH
(I had to designate tripack film as there were slide films such as
Dufaycolor that were additive. These were b&w film with a filter pack in
the base and film exposed thru base and then reversed developed and
projected with the base facing the lamp. Color not too bad but light
absorbtion awful. YOU can try modern version with the Polaroid instant
slide film !!!! BobH)
