You can check the camera apertures by just looking at them. If they
are of different size this will certainly affect the exposure.
Viewers can cause differences in brightness but you can see that
without a slide in place. Usually the edges are darker (light fall-
off). An object in the left side of the picture will appear
darker in the left frame (because it is at the edge of the left
side) and brighter in the right frame (because it is at the center
of the viewer). The opposite is true for an object in the right
side of the picture.
