Not needed.  It can be both flat and round.  A coin, for instance,
is usually both  flat and round.

Perhaps "Is the world flat/round, flat/square, spherical, or other ?"....

Then we can argue how close to a sphere it needs to be to call it a 
sphere.  Everybody get out their dictionaries and sharpen your
pencils!!!!
