Sam contact The office of the commissioner of patents & Trade Marks
in Washington DC. Ask them to send you information for a disclosure document.
A disclosure document is a registered set of your drawing, nothing fancy
simple hand drawings and a brief description. The patent office will keep a copy archived for two years and send back the original drawings along with a letter of disclosure. You are suppose to apply for a patent with in the 2 years.
Then talk to a Patent lawyer inquire as to the cost of a full patent.
Not a--- design--- Patent.
What will a Patent get you only the right to sue at a cost somewhere between
$ 30,000 to $ 70,000.
