X-Files and Stereo Cameras

Okay, I'm officially disappointed.

The X-Files TV program that finished mere minutes ago, and as usual, I
reeled it off to tape for the coworkers that missed it. During the opening
sequence, a soon-to-be victim has a passport photo taken, which in the USA,
generally is taken with a stereo instant camera. (This isn't for any good
purpose, just to get a file image and a passport image from roughly the
same instant and perspective.) Shortly thereafter, they showed the photo
ostensibly from this camera. Any any of you would, I fused the pair of
images. Even though the plot required that the photo be spookily retouched,
they could have at least retouched a real stereo pair, instead of just
duplicating the same image on both sides. Flat as a pancake.

<sigh> It would have been a really nice touch.
