Not meaning to stray TOO far from reality... or 3-D either for that matter,
but the pictures were not "pictures." They were "created" by the
psychic forces of the "villain's" demented brain.
It seems reasonable to me that his dementia might not be stereographic.
I would have more of a problem with why it is that he managed to
project "mental imagery" onto unexposed film AND take into account
the number of lenses on the camera...
When Muldahr activated the camera he found in the closet, he did so
while covering the lens with his hand and got images nonetheless.
I suspect that if I took pictures with a stereo camera by covering
the lenses with my hand, the results would not be in stereo either -
no matter WHAT I thought not how twisted my mind is ...er, might be ;-)
Remember, it's only TV.
