My lucky day!
Hey all,
I have been viewing the posts for the past several months and have
learned much and enjoyed the conversations. I never really felt I had
much to contribute as I am sort of a new commer to 3d. I started by
building a slide bar for my crown graphic (with a 6x7 back) and was
astounded the first time I developed the pictures and they actuall
worked in 3d! I have since gotten an exceptionally nice Kodak Stereo
and a Kin-Dar. Which brings me to my reason for posting tonight.
I have been using a borrowed Kodaslide I viewer for most of my
viewing. Today I was at a small local camera show and I about passed
out when I found a brand new Kodaslide II viewer in its oringinal box.
It even still had the price tag with the slogan "Yes, you can buy on
time!" Well, I snatched that up because I wanted a better viewer and
could't have asked for one in nicer shape. After the show, my wife and
I went to a antique mall and only about an hour after finding my
Kodaslide, What do I find sitting on a shelf but a red button Stereo
Realist in very nice condition. (except for one small crack that is
right by the left ocular) I am not even going to say what I got it for
as I have many times been jealous at the bargins people say they have
found and I don't want to put anyone through that. Lets just say my
heart was all a flutter when I looked at the price tag. I have just
spent about an hour dissasembling it and cleaning it . Boy it sure
works great. I don't even have the Halogen bulbs and I love it. The
Kodaslide II is great also. I love the rheostat. I hve been sitting
here looking through all my slides. Well I seem to have rambled but I
was so exited I had somthing to talk about. I will be happy to join in
the conversttions from now on.
Thanks for reading.
