We are all screwed... Gene, this is common in later Realist models. Do not
know at what serial number it started but it is rather common. The
question is, how do you unscrew it? But, why would you want to unscrew it?
To adjust the rangefinder. I usually remove the bottom and with a the help
of a pair of thin pliers I adjust the screw from the bottom.

Later models have these instructions. By no means uncommon.
