Kin Dar Flash

Does anyone know what the flash for a Kin Dar was like?  I have make a 
rather crude adaptor to use a flash with it but it is a pain in the but 
to get it all hooked up right.  I usually do not like using flash with 
in my work but with it getting so cold out now, I have a tough time 
getting my students excited about going out to shoot.  They would rather 
shoot their friends inside the school (photographically of course)  Any 
thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
