I believe the Digital Light technology referred to by Texas Instruments is the
new micro mirror chips. From what I've read, it's pretty nifty stuff.
If you're unaware of the things, it is a display system that reflects light
rather than a transmission filter (liquid crystal). With three-color high-
intensity light sources, the system is supposedly very high resolution with
excellent brightness capabilities. For now, I think the first consumer items
are mainly projectors for computer display. Pricey, but supposedly much
better than older technologies...
