crazed communist market - ignorant economic system

I can't let this go by much longer without responding to a P3d posting in
digest #1668 that read as follows:

"Still - with all that - and being a product of a crazed communist market -
ignorant economic system (who else would put thousand dollar lenses in a 20
dollar body?) it's the crown jewel of stereo cameras, capable of making
pictures comparable only with the RBT, without the necessity of bearers
when you take it on safari!"

"(who else would put thousand dollar lenses in a 20
dollar body?)"

My response is - no one but a genius. After all is said and done, the most
important part of a camera is the lenses. The body is there only to house
the the two really essential ingredients in the equation, the lenses and
the film. The formula used by Belca-Werk in the case of the Belplasca seems
near perfect. It works, and they are much sought after because of the
clarity of the images. I think this last point should be emphasised---
CLARITY OF THE IMAGES--. Consider the other side of the coin; a $500 body
and $10 lenses, as you might find in a Capitalistic economy. Which would
you prefer? Doesn't sound like a crazed communist market - ignorant
economic system to me, and I suspect that all you happy owners of
Belplascas don't think so either.
