Actually, I was thinking more of changing the gear ratio than extending the
winder stoke. It's not that difficult as long as you know which gears you
need, and you have the space available for the new configuration. There are
mail-order companies in the States that stock a wide variety of gears.

My problem is almost alway the same in various projects I've put on hold:
shutters. it's easy to rip them out from other cameras, but it can be a real
chore if you need them to fit in specific, usually cramped spaces. For this
project I need two matched 50mm lenses with blade-type shutters that must
fit in a 30mm diameter space, and no part of the lens assembly must come
closer than 40mm from the film plane.
Not impossible, just means I've got to keep checking out flea markets!

I think what your saying is you insert your stereo pairs in the windows of a
flexible strip if plastic, right? Would you roll these up, or leave them as
a flat strip? The spacer idea seems a little bothersome, and may be prone to
snags. I'd would be better to simply come up with realist-type mounts with a
space for the advance wheel in the middle and just view them individually.
Not as good as a Themelised red-button, but it could be at least better than
a Brumberger.
