Hi Ed!

Nice to hear your voice in photo-3d. We've met in camera shows in Ohio but
you don't remember me. I have your book ('82 version) and don't hesitate
to recommend it. Not much has been written on the Realist. The more the
merrier.

I had a light leak in one of my Realists that was driving me crazy. In your
book you say that leaving out a screw can cause a leak. Sure enough,
I had left one of the top 4 screws that was lost. Glued a piece of
aluminum foil and the leak was gone. This was worth the price of the
book for me.

I'll make sure I get the revised version. I enjoy your writing style. I
had to laugh with your predictions about rising prices. You said that you
got a Realist for $50 and the price was already up to $125 and predicted
that will double and triple in a few years. Well, as you know, it has
not got much up. The huge supply and low demand has kept the price of the
3.5 under control. What has jumped up is the price of the 2.8 and the
accessories (viewers, etc.)

If you need any help with the revised edition, I am here to help. I
specialize in viewers (have a book on the red button and green button and I
am working on a revised edition on the red button which is out of print)
but work on cameras from time to time.

I am posting this in photo-3d too.

Best regards -- George Themelis
