I know Dave Williams answered this, but I thought I would throw this in.

Years ago I obtained a gadget that hooked to a Kodak Carousel projector
that allowed me to create an audio tape which had the narration on one
channel and the (inaudible) "blip" signalling a change on the other. They
could be programmed separately. If you are using two carousels, you might
like this idea. I must still have the gadget buried away somewhere if
you would like to try it.

More recently, when I did stereo slide shows, I had a tape of music that
was programmed for the slide to change every 15 seconds (i.e., I would
tape a 3-minute section of music and have 12 slides selected to be used
in that time slot). I used a manual TDC projector with a stop watch and
a small flashlight, and as I pushed the slides through I had time to
remove each slide from the other side and put it away. It worked quite
well, because if I took an extra long time on one slide I could make up
for it on the next. Of course, using a flow of music is different from
having the slides narrated. That would be more difficult.

I am interested when I hear how others accomplish this procedure!
