I don't know if other members of this group are aware of the
interesting collectable camera auctions held by the famous
Christie's auction house in London.

I subscribe to their camera sales catalogue even though I
seldom actually bid on items. The catalogue is beautifully
produced , with most items illustrated , and with interesting notes.
The current catalogue , for the next auction on 18th December
includes , as usual , an interesting collection of stereo cameras and
other stereo items.

Those that caught my attention (with estimated price in pounds
in brackets) were:
ISO Duplex Super boxed.condition 1F (100-150)
Realist Macro 3F (800-1000)
Macro Realist prototype 4F (800-1000)
Dummy TDC stereo camera made of wood ((200-300)
Speich stereo camera (Italy)(one of only twenty made)(2000-3000)
VerascopeF40 3F (850-950)
Ikolux 500 stereo projector by Zeiss (this looks wonderful ,anyone
ever used one?) (1800-2200)wonderful price too.
Prado 500 stereo projector by Leitz (2000-3000)
Ikolux 500 projector with an Ikolux-System Sterikon split lens and
split polariser (1F boxed)(320-380) Another interesting looking system
-anyone used it?
391 lots in all
Michael Pritchard is the specialist on cameras at Christies , and I have
always found him very helpful. Absentee bids by fax or post are possible
Christies web site is
http://www.christies.com
or you can phone to subscribe to the catalogues (6-8 per year) by phoning

Usual disclaimers- I have no connection with this organisation(but wish I
did).

Best wishes.
John Bradley
