You did not mention HOW you did melt it, so I assume that it was
in projection, in which case I think you have a serious problem
with the projector. My slides in my TDC projector barely get
warm. The TDC projector has the strongest cooling fan than any 50s
projector. I am running 750 W bulbs and as I said, the slides
don't even get warm.

The TDC projectors have a heat absorbing glass right after the
bulbs. -- George
