Call me stupid, but has anyone considered the concept of using an "outboard"
fan to cool the slide mounts in an overheating projector. Needless to say,
one would like one's electronics (or electrics) to work properly, but I had a
VCR many years ago when they first came out, and the thing would malfunction
seriously after it had been on for a while. I finally figured out it was a
heat problem, and set a fan at the rear of the device to keep it constantly
cool. never had a problem after that. They sell little portable jobs an
hardware and computer stores in L.A. that would be just dandy for this
application.
