John Bradley tells us:

>Remember , these are in pounds sterling ... 1 pound equals US$1.62.

>Stereo Realist F3.5 (unsold) est 5-600 (US $810 ???)
>Macro Realist prototype sold for 1150 (US $1,863 ???)
>Realist Macro sold for 1610 (US $2,608 ???)
>Realist outfit (camera, case, flash, 2 viewers etc) sold for 322
                                                 (US $522 ???)

Wow, I think I'll have all my Realist stuff sold at a Christies'
Auction!

These prices are *insane*! Was there anything "special" about any
of this equipment? Like having belonged to JFK or something?

OK, the F3.5 didn't sell at $810, which is good because that's about
SIX TIMES what it's worth over here, assuming it is nothing special.

At least the "Realist Outfit" went more in line with reality, figuring
about $135 for the camera, $120 each for the viewers leaving $152 for
case, flash etc. Still a bit high, but not astronomical.

Fascinating that the Macro sold for so much more than the prototype.
