Retina Beam Splitter?
- From: P3D Bob Wier <wier@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

While being here at home doing some sorting of stuff, I ran across
a beam splitter that my folks had. I never saw them use it. I *suspect*
maybe my dad had gotten it for a Bolex 16mm film camera before he
immediately dropped it into the ocean (boy, would I have liked to have
some stereo home movies from the 50's...)
Anyway, it's marked as a Kodak Retina Stereo. Infinity to 2m(6ft).
Xenon C 50mm / Heligon C 50 mm. Made in Germany.
Now, the adapter ring is not threaded, but rather has (a badly stripped)
brass screw which apparently was tightened down on the lens/lens shade
of the camera in use. The inside of the adapter ring is about 2&1/4"
in diameter.
Can anyone say anything further about this? The adapter collar seems pretty
small to be usable on any of today's 35mm cameras. Although it's conceivable
it MIGHT fit onto one of the little point and shoot guys.
THANKS!
