Hi Michael! In behalf of photo-3d and Realist Camera Owners Association
(RCOA), I welcome you to the list! Photo-3d can certainly use another
young Electrical Engineer with a Stereo Realist camera! (somehow I think
this profile fits quite a few photo-3d members... not me, though)

Both your questions have been discussed at full-length in photo-3d. I am
the self-appointed Realist light leak expert here. It took a poll a few
months ago and it turned out that about 50% of the Realists show a light
leak. Due to the high frequency of this occurrence, we have decided to
rename this from "defect" to "feature" ;)

After feedback from the list, I have been using the trick of putting a
light bulb inside the camera to see the light leaking out. It works and
helps me locate the site of the leak and monitor my progress in fixing it.
All this info (and tips on how to fix it) are in past digests. I am
planning to write a detailed article on this subject in Dalia's Inside-3d
newsletter.

Yes, I do! I have stated in the past that I have superglued my flash in
the Realist. This is obviously an exaggeration but I do use the flash in
almost every occasion.

Again, welcome to the list. We all look forward to your postings!

George Themelis, Head of the photo-3d "welcoming committee" ;) ;) ;)
