I think there must have been, sounds to me like artistic expression!
You tried to not get technically a realistic reproduction of what was
actually there, but rather the mood. Which falls in one of the categories
for expressive creation. I think we do this quite often even if it is 
a snapshot. Hmmm now I am thinking is this art!? Let's not get into
this one again.
