Aha - good questions. There are technical considerations which will
limit commercial postings relentlessly posted to the sell-3d list. IF
one were to assume that 500+ subscribers on p3d also subbed to s3d,
then each time a message went to s3d, it would gen 500+ e-mail
messages (depending on the digest/ack type composition of the list - since
it's likely a lot of people would be on ack on s3d as opposed to digest
on p3d, maybe call it 500+ e-mail messages per posting). If each
message were maybe 1200 bytes (probably reasonable for the message
plus header information), then about 600K worth of e-mail would be
generated per message. There *are* bandwidth considerations here,
so a frequent "spam" type posting would be pulled on my end.
