Realist Flash Adapter

Hope I am not crossing the line here, but I am not selling - merely
offering to get something for you.

After being told repeatedly that there is no such thing as a hotshoe
to hotshoe adapter, I came across a half dozen of them (old stock in
the basement of a photo store). They are actually a hotshoe bottom
with a hotshoe top then a coiled cord (?18 inches) going to another
cold bottom with a hotshoe top. These could be used several ways:

1) File the needed Realist groove in the first hotshoe, cut off the
cord and second hotshoe (or leave it dangling); then just slide it on
your camera and have a regular hotshoe for modern flashes.

2) File the needed Realist groove in the first hotshoe then run the
second hotshoe to a side mounted flash bar. This would be the
preferred method as you won't have the flash in line with the camera
(no red eye, better shadow depth, etc.).

3) Same as #2, but you can also mount another flash on the camera
mounted hotshoe for dual flash. This would work great for fill and
bounce flash.

4) Same as #3, but get two so you can have two flashes mounted away
from the camera. This would be great for close up work or to reduce
shadows. You could even get all six and string them together to light
up an entire city block all at once *{;-)

As an added bonus, these hotshoes have dedicated pins for Konica
camera/flash. The store is asking $25.00 each. Contact me off list if

PS - I just saw theses today and I did not try them out. I will take
my filed-down (gasp) Realist down on Monday and make sure everything
fits and works.
