This sounds like a good idea but one which I haven't visualized the actual
functionality. How could it be tied to P3D so that topics presented on P3D
and appropriate to *intro-3D* could be cross posted without being rewritten?
Would the various authors decide that as they send out their stuff? Or would
it require an editor to pick and choose, perhaps taking things out of
ordinary thread context? How would such cross postings integrate resulting
dialog in both lists?

One of the worst possibilities is that of an intro list without content
which quickly degenerates into a disservice to 3D. If this potential can be
addressed, I think it's a great idea. I know people to whom I'd recommend
it, that may not like to get the whole current P3D list. As an alternative,
maybe some kind of prefiltering of the existing list could be done for those
who are new and not sure how deep they want to get into things. Is custom
prefiltering possible?

On a similar note, I may start making more mention of P3D on my web site,
and it could generate new subscriptions to P3D. It seems likely that these
may be more suitable to Intro-3D. The trick is to implement this good idea
without it becoming divisive or duplicatus to the function of P3D. It needs
more discussion before implementation, I think.
