Re: Realist filter holder

As you know, Realist made filters that fit right over the lenses.
You can close the cap right over those and they came in Haze and
different color-correction versions.
There is an accessory known as Shades & Filter Holder. The filter
holder will hold standard Series V filters. These are not modern
but are rather common in many older cameras and many places still
have them. Many filters, including polarizers, close-up _lenses_,
etc. are available in Series V. (Note: You cannot close the cap
in a Realist fitted with these accessories).
I do not know how to fit modern filters (size 49mm???) in older
stereo cameras, other than taping them in place (!, yes, some
people have taped or just held filters, especially polarizers,
right in front of the lenses.)
George Themelis (if people don't stop asking these questions, I
cannot stop answering them!)
