Alps color printer

Has anyone tried the new Alps "near photo-realistic" color printer,
and specifically for printing stereo pictures?  I have a sample page
from the company and the quality (on plain paper) is amazing for the
price.  But there are horizontal bands that could become objectional
when viewing in 3D.
