Bob Wier mentioned that there is a alt.binaries.pictures.stereo newsgroup
being formed by a John A Elson. Haven't found the newsgroup myself yet
but did find this info below.

Discussion:

This newsgroup shall be for posting photos/drawings/graphics and other
picture files which are stereoscopic and for discussion of such.

Formats will include paired images, analglyphs (red/blue), etc.   
Material may be anything from classic stereo cards to modern
stereoscopic computer graphics as long as it is truly stereoscopic.
This is not a fourm for posting/discussion of "rendered" graphics
which are often passed off as "3d" even though there is nothing 3d
about them.
   
Members of organizations such as the National Stereoscopic Association
are especially encouraged to drop by and participate. All legal
stereoscopic material is welcome, even scans of pictures you've taken
yourself of friends, family, etc. as long as it is in stereo.
