I did. I used two Samsung zoom cameras similar but not identical
types. They were placed on short bar as close as possible (about
15 cm between optical axes, convergent). I used one remote
release, held in second hand at its full lenght, somewhere over
and in the front of the system. It was very inconvinient, but I
made 10 pairs of rolls during 2 weeks of vacation in Italy. Some
of them was great, but I found a problem - in many cases
pictures of one pair had different scale! If you will use fixed
focus  cameras and you can manage with optical axes of the
cameras - you may get nice pictures.
