RE: To be Hyper or not to be...

Taking a step back from the recent 3Discover/Hyper discussion... I have
seen two catridges/films/canisters so far. Not enough to be fair in
describing what they do or do not do in ALL their imaging. The two I
have seen, most of you that have these units have seen, and they are
mostly hyper because of their subject matter. I think we would all
agree on that... I mean how else could you get the entire Pentagon in
one single frame?

To be fair to Wrebbit, I think we need to give them the benefit of the
doubt. If they are shooting Celine Dion and Circ Du Soleil (sp?) as
their material say they are, then I would guess that they will NOT be
hyper. According to the minimal amount of info on their web site, they
bought a company that had been developing this product for 3 or 4
years. I think that with that much effort going into the product,
someone there must know how to carefully choose how to shoot individual
titles. The two I have seen so far needed to be hyper, and in my
opinion (and the 6 people who I introduced it to last night), they are
just right. I heard an appropriate amount of Ohhing and Ahhing, and all
liked what they saw.

Yes, there is some movement between images in some of the pairs, (BTW,
none of that bothered me as much as the shimmering blur that some of
the people are in front of the Lincoln Memorial...) but all in all I
enjoy the product. And, more importantly, my wife enjoys it and uses it
which I can't say for anything else I have ever come across in the 3D
world! =)
