Realist flash problem

My trusty realist 3.5 seems to have developed a new 'feature'!
Any flash pictures I take seem to have the right hand frame almost
entirely devoid of any light (maybe slightly more than available 
light only) I'm sure it used to work OK but I've now had 2 rolls 
showing this effect.
Any advice, pointers on things to check out would be appreciated.
I'm not sure if its a shutter problem or a sync thing, but all 
normal daylight shots look excellent.
