I agree with your definition for casual conversation, however in my
secret garden, I'll still consider a single camera that takes stereo photographs
to be a stereo camera.  One with strong limitations, but "still one".  :-)

In any case, the general topic that was being discussed was more than just
single cameras, it included dual-slr schemes and such as well.  At the last
Cascade Stereo Club meeting we had a stereo camera (or maybe not) consisting
of two Polaroid cameras attached together with elastomeric devices with which
we took stereo pictures of the group.  Turned out nicely.  :-)

P.S. - At that same club meeting we had a very impressive 3-projector (computer
       sequenced) stereo-photography show that was taken with no stereo camera
       at all!  :-)
