Yes, Darryl Nicholas is interested in 3d.  I remember seeing articles in
Shutterbug about 3d, written by him.  I remember one in glamour 3d
photography.  Sorry don't have issue number or other details.  

As Tim pointed out, it is very important that mainstream magazines like
Shutterbug and Popular photography carry articles on Stereo Photography
from time to time.  I got into the 3d trail by an article in Sky and
Telescope.  So, perhaps in addition to trying to get articles published in
Stereo World, we should be trying to get 3d show up in general photography
magazines too.
