A quick not about color perception- Strongly suggest Oliver Sacks' 
"Anthropologist from Mars"- case histories of several patients with
specific brain lesions-  One artist lost color vision after an accident-
Land's work is discussed here as well- Exteremely interesting for anyone
fascinated by the general processing of visual information-
