Dupont makes its X-ray film up in the mountains in North Carolina (or they
did last time I was there).
Some of the airlines point out that the main job of the flight attendants
is safety - controlling the passengers, and helping to lead them out
in the event of an emergency landing. So if that rule is in effect, there
might be reasons other than X-ray exposure.
