the Iloca in my last auction

I know that many of you are wondering why did that Iloca bring so much money?

The following might help explain why this scarce collectible brought the
price that it did:

1)  it is mint (and you don't see mint very often)  
2)  the model f2.8 doesn't usually come WITHOUT a rangefinder.  This was a
factory boo boo.
It isn't even listed in Prof. Weiser's book.

This wasn't really a "user" item as much as a collector's item mainly
because of its mint condition. In recent postings I remember someone stating
that he had this model??  Please e-mail with serial number, Prof Weiser
would be interested in knowing, as would I.

As far as those interested in putting into their wills that all 3D stuff go
to my auctions, great idea! But why wait? If you have spare scarce items,
consider consigning them.  I'll find the item a very good home,
airconditioned in the summer and heated in the winter.
